Which networks do Thai eSIMs run on?
Three carriers matter: AIS (widest national + island coverage — the safest bet for Koh Samui, Phuket, Phi Phi and the north), dtac and TrueMove H (excellent in Bangkok and urban areas, often the cheapest unlimited deals). On the provider's plan page, the underlying network is listed — if you're island-hopping, prefer AIS-based plans.

FAQ
Will eSIM work on the islands?
Yes. AIS-based plans cover Samui, Phangan, Phi Phi and Lanta well. Remote national-park beaches (Similans, some of Khao Sok) have dead zones on every network.
Is unlimited really unlimited in Thailand?
Unlimited plans typically have a fair-use policy: full speed up to a daily or total threshold, then throttling. Light-to-normal use rarely notices it; constant 4K streaming might.
Do I need my passport for an eSIM?
No. Unlike local SIM shops, travel eSIMs are bought online and require no registration in Thailand.
