About eSIM Compass
We're travelers who got tired of $10/day roaming bills and 40-minute airport SIM queues — so we built the tool we wished existed: one honest place to compare travel eSIMs.
What we do
eSIM Compass tracks eight major travel eSIM providers — Airalo, Saily, Yesim, Holafly, Nomad, Jetpac, Roamless and Drimsim — and turns their pricing, coverage and support quality into simple answers: which plan, which country, which budget. Our data calculator estimates your real data needs and price for 35+ destinations.
How we compare (methodology)
- Price per GB first. We normalize every plan to $/GB across 1/3/5/10/20 GB tiers — the number that predicts your bill.
- Equal treatment. Every provider is scored on identical criteria: price, coverage, unlimited availability, purchase flow, support. Commissions don't enter the formula.
- Monthly refresh. eSIM prices change constantly. Our estimates are re-checked every month and always labeled as estimates — the final price is always on the provider's checkout page.
- Country reality checks. Coverage claims are cross-checked against known network facts (who rides Turkcell vs Vodafone TR, Docomo vs Rakuten, and so on).
How we make money
We are an affiliate site: when you buy a plan through links on eSIM Compass, the provider pays us a commission — at no extra cost to you. This funds our tracking work. What it does not do: change our rankings, our price math, or our advice. If a cheaper provider pays us less, the cheaper provider still gets recommended.
Independence rules
- We don't accept payment for placement in comparison tables or guides.
- Providers never see our content before publication.
- Affiliate links are marked as sponsored/rel="sponsored" per FTC guidance.
- When we criticize a provider (and we do), commissions don't soften the criticism.
